SANDRA LA ESPUELITA - UK FLAMENCO DANCER

London Flamenco dancer Sandra La Espuelita comes to Team Building from a strong professional Human Resources background, having worked as European Head of HR for Thomson Financial (now Thomson-Reuters, the world's largest provider of real-time information) in the City of London, before choosing a life-style change in 2001 and making Flamenco dance her full-time career. This gives her a unique insight into both flamenco and corporate worlds. Sandra's ability to use her skills as a teacher of Flamenco Dance has become a most effective team-building tool within the corporate enviroment. So far in 2009 she has already provided exciting and successful Team Building days for FTSE100 companies in London, a Legal Chambers, the Metropolitan Police, several smaller companies across the UK, and a Global Property company in Spain.

As a flamenco dancer, Sandra trained extensively in both England and in Spain, studying in Jerez, Seville and Córdoba.

Now based in London, she performs across the UK, Europe and Internationally with top Flamenco artistes, including her own troupe Flamenco Pasión, which she founded in 2001 and is now acknowledged as providing some of the most authentic and passionate flamenco shows in the UK today. She has appeared as lead dancer at the Commonwealth Institute, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Hilton Hotel Park Lane, the Savoy Hotel and numerous regional UK theatres, as well as the legendary Phoenix Artist Club in London's Soho. In addition, she has worked as guest principal dancer with the Javier Hernandes group in Seville and Málaga and performs with the leading Kathak/Flamenco fusion group worldwide.

Television appearances include BBC, Channel 4 and Spanish television. She featured in the BBC's hugely popular "Strictly Come Dancing" series, when she taught Darren Gough the basics of flamenco dance! In 2009 she successfully secured a contract from a major European high-definition television company, and has recorded programmes for BBC and Sky TV. 2009 saw her drawing the crowds with London flamenco shows at the Ideal Home Exhibition at Earl's Court and the ExCel centre Docklands. She appeared at the Guardian Hay Festival for the first time, which resulted in a special invitation to the 2010 Segovia festival in Spain.

In 2007 she launched her own pan-European specialist flamenco agency, staffed entirely by flamenco professionals.
